There is a new face in the library!
It's Miss Helen! Columbus Public Library has a new Youth Services Coordinator, her name is Helen Wirka. She comes to us with a rich background full of all sorts of fun programing and museums. She will be running the Wednesday kids' programs, teen events and will be sharing storytimes with Miss Susan. Stop by the library and find her in the lower-level children's area, she is excited to meet everybody!
New Self Check-Out
There is a new self check-out machine in our children's area! A convenient way to scan your whole stack at once to check out.

Storytime
Every Tuesdays at 10:00am
In-person storytimes are happening at the Library! There will be books, songs, and a craft to take home.

Crafternoon
1st Wednesday of each month at 3:30pm
Imagine, create, and explore a different crafting adventure each month,

Lego Building
2nd Wednesday of the month at 3:30pm We are bringing out the Legos for some creative fun. Kids will be given a random selection of Lego pieces and a base plate to use during the session.

Pokemon
3rd Wednesday of the month at 3:30pm
Calling all Pokémon Trainers! Join us at the library for a Pokémon meet up! Venture into the world of Pokémon and show off your recent catches. Bring your Pokémon cards and portable devices to battle or trade. We’ll try to have the library Pokéstop lured for Pokémon Go, so you can try and catch ‘em all or maybe earn a gym badge.

STEAM
4th Wednesday of the month at 3:30pm
Use science, technology, engineering, art and math to build experiments, test theories and solve problems.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Ask at the Children's desk how to sign up for this free program
Prepare your child for a lifetime of learning by participating in this free year-round early literacy program! Keep track of the books you read and receive a small prize for every 100 books read and receive a free book once you reach 1,000 books read! For ages 0-5.
Our Kids' Space

Visit our friendly kids' space to pick up the latest books and movies, enjoy our play space and take-and-make crafts. Our staff members will be happy to help you locate new titles and old favorites, find the perfect book or series for reluctant readers, or answer any questions you may have!

Use your phone, tablet, computer, or eReader to enjoy free books, audiobooks, and streaming video from Wisconsin's Digital Library For Kids! You can even browse content by subject and reading level. This resource is powered by OverDrive, so take a peek at their Getting Started Guide or stop by the library to learn about downloading content to your device.
