Join music teacher and Columbus Public Library staffer Catherine Walters Brick for this online course for adults who want a jump start on playing the piano for pleasure, or a refresher for those who have played piano in the past.

This course is designed as a no-nonsense, no-pressure, friendly approach which emphasizes learning how to play melodies by ear and figuring out the chords that go with that melody in a down-to-earth method for getting your hands into the music as quickly as possible.

The ability to read music is a plus, but is not a requirement. You need not attend all of the sessions in order to participate.

The library has six keyboards available for checkout, as well as a bound instruction booklet (also in a digital format). Keyboards may be checked out on a first-come, first-served basis. Call the library for availability.

Registration is required for this free, online class. To register, please fill out the online registration found here.

For any questions, contact Catherine Brick at the library at 920-623-5910 or email her at catherine [at] columbuspubliclibrary.info (catherine[at]columbuspubliclibrary[dot]info).
