The Summer Reading Program is here!
This year we are moving the summer reading program to a website/app called Beanstack. There are challenges for all ages, and the site/app makes it super easy to log your reading and track your progress. You can visit the Beanstack website or download the app to register. You are able to register as an individual, a family, or classroom account.
The reading challenge this summer will be recorded as minutes spent reading as well as various activities. You will earn badges as you continue reading and completing activities. Once you earn the Completion Badge (available after you have reached a certain number of badges), you earn a free book and a ticket to put into one of the prize drawings listed on the site. Keep reading and completing more activities to earn more tickets for the drawings.
We would prefer that if at all possible that you would please log your reading progress using Beanstack when it becomes available. It will help minimize the person to person contact as well as create less paper waste. Those who have no or limited internet access can still obtain paper logs upon request.
The Summer Reading Program ends Friday, August 7. Prize tickets entered after end of day Friday will not be accepted. Prize winners will be contacted the following week. Prize winners will be announced only with winner’s consent.
