Join us in the lower level of the library for our celebration of really, really bad art. Our No Good, Very Bad Art Night is for adult community members who want to be creative without the pressure of having to flex any artistic skills whatsoever. Artistic ability might even be a disadvantage for this program.
Paint, brushes, snips of paper, glue, and odd bits of craft supplies will be provided to help you create something profoundly imperfect.
Participants are encouraged to bring additional supplies to enrich their bad art experience, which might include dried pasta, aluminum foil, ribbon, cardboard, or a picture of the family pet.
The theme for this event is “Subpar Portraits.” Participants will have one hour to create the worst portrait imaginable of a person or animal, real or imagined. At the end of the event, participants will vote on the piece of “art” that is so bad, it’s good. The winner will receive a very small prize of questionable value and marginal bragging rights.
