First Saturday of the month, 9:30am
Workshop with genealogy researcher Chris Behl for those who are interested in searching their ancestry. Meetings are conducted online via Zoom. You may use a smart phone, tablet, or computer to attend this virtual event. Registration is required for virtual events. Visit the library’s calendar to find the next workshop to register.

Alzheimer's Support Group

First Thursday of the month, 5:00pm
Join certified dementia-care professional Karen Wheelock in a support group to help meet the needs of family caregivers and the general community seeking information about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Karen has worked in the senior care industry for 10 years and enjoys supporting others going through the dementia journey. Free and open to the public.

Mindfulness matters group thumbnail

Mindfulness Matters Group

First three Wednesdays and fifth Wednesday of the month, 6:30pm
Discuss the basics of mindfulness and share conversation with likeminded people. Each week, the group discusses a few sections of a book they have chosen to examine. Those who have not had the chance to read the section can follow along with the discussion. The book changes every few months. Meetings are conducted online via Zoom and in-person in the lower level of the library. If you wish to attend virtually, registration is required and you can register by finding the next event on the library's calendar.

Columbus Quilters Club

Third Thursday of the month, 5:30pm
Come join the Columbus Quilters Club at the Columbus Public Library! These quilters love to share quilting patterns and ideas, and will even provide tips if you bring in your own projects for help. The group meets on the third Thursday of the month from 5:30 to 6:45 in the lower level of the library. They look forward to meeting new area quilters! As always, this event is free and open to the public.

 

The Library Space

Visit our revamped first floor to find fiction, non-fiction, movies, music and more, including free public use computers and a cozy fireplace sitting area. The copier, printer and scanner are also available for patron use. Our friendly staff can help you find new titles, old favorites or answer any questions you may have!
