Have you heard?? Columbus Public Library is giving back for the holidays . . . in more ways than one.
The week of December 9-14, the library is celebrating Fine Forgiveness and Food Drive Week. During that time, everyone is encouraged to come in and request that their overdue fines be removed, and the library will happily oblige. “We know that overdue fines can be a barrier to using the library, and we want to do all we can to remove barriers,” said Library Director Cindy Fesemyer. Fees for lost or damaged items will remain, but patron overdue fees will be waived. Fesemyer notes that “this gives people a chance to start the year with a clean slate.”
