Banned Books Week

Monday, September 23, 2013 (All day) to Friday, September 27, 2013 (All day)

The week of September 23 is Banned Books Week when we celebrate the freedom to read. Censorship still exists. Hundreds of book are banned each year even though the First Amendment guarantees our right to freedom of expression. Help raise your awareness of censorship by stopping by the library in September to see our banned books display. You might be surprised how many of them you’ve read and loved!
