Road Construction!!

James Street (Hwy 16/60) Road Construction Began March 6th

Hwy 16/60 (James St) will be reconstructed from the Crawfish River to US Highway 151, beginning March 6th and concluding sometime in early fall of 2017. Plan ahead, as your usual route may change. Parking is available in the library lot as usual.

Thursdays After School at the Library!

Every Thursday of the month, the Columbus Public Library has a program for school-aged children.

Kids creating Perler Bead art at the library's January 5th Crafternoon.Each Thursday after school program is from 3:30-4:30 pm in the library’s program room on the lower level of the library. A snack will be offered at each of the Thursday after school programs.

Check out what the library has to offer each month:

1st Thursday – Crafternoon – Ages 5 and up – Come craft with us! Each month there will be a different craft for the you to make at the library. Information about upcoming Crafternoon projects can be found on the library’s website and calendar.

2nd Thursday – LEGO Club – Ages 5 and up - Come play, build, and explore with LEGOs! We provide the LEGOs – you provide the creativity! Photos of each clubs LEGO creations will be displayed on the library’s Facebook page.

Volunteer Tutors Needed!

Looking for a way to volunteer and help other? Do you enjoy English? Than you could be a volunteer tutor for the Columbus Literacy Council!

There has been an increase in people seeking out help from the Columbus Literacy Council to improve their English skills and more volunteers are needed to meet the demand.
