Summer Reading Program starts June 1!

This year’s Summer Reading Program features something for everyone! Starting June 1, stop by the library to sign up and get a reading log. Read for 20 minutes, do an activity, or attend a library program to fill up your log. When you’re finished, bring it back to the library and we’ll give you a free book plus a raffle ticket for one of our many prize baskets!
For each completed reading log we’ll also add one block to the towers in the entryway. This year, kids and babies will be competing against teens and adults to see who can build the tallest tower. Who will win by reading the most – the younger or the older generation?
Save the date for the Summer Reading Kick-off: Friday June 2, 4-6pm with lots of family fun on the library lawn!

Road Construction!!

Access our parking lot from Spring Street when the James Street driveway is blocked

Hwy 16/60 (James St) will be reconstructed from the Crawfish River to US Highway 151, beginning March 6th and concluding sometime in early fall of 2017. Plan ahead, as your usual route may change. Parking is available in the library lot as usual.

Volunteer Tutors Needed!

Looking for a way to volunteer and help others? Consider becoming a tutor with the Columbus Literacy Council!

There has been an increase in people seeking out help from the Columbus Literacy Council to improve their English skills, and more volunteers are needed to meet the demand.

If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Library Director Cindy Fesemyer via e-mail (click here) or call library staff at (920) 623-5910.
