Root for Columubs ACTION Potluck

Root for Columbus is holding another ACTION Potluck next Monday, October 3 from 6 pm - 8 pm at the Columbus Area Senior Center, 125 N Dickason Blvd. If you are not familiar with Root for Columbus ACTION Potluck, it is a gathering that is open to all, where ideas for small, fun community projects are brainstormed and in small groups plans are made to accomplish some the ideas. 

So if you have an idea that you think would help make Columbus a more vibrant and welcoming place . . .

2016 Fall Storywalk is Here!

Looking for a way to get out in the lovely fall weather? Take a stroll through downtown Columbus and enjoy the 2016 Fall Storywalk. This storywalk features “Fletcher and the Falling Leaves” written by Julia Rawlinson with illistrations by Tiphanie Beeke. This adorable tale follows Fletcher the fox as he journeys through fall.

Talk of the Town

The Director of the Columbus Public Library, Cindy Fesemyer, recently had the privilege of talking with a reporter for Madison CW about the the great community of Columbus. She talks about how the library is interacting in the community not only though the programs that it offers but also the wonderful things that Root For Columbus has been doing. It’s time for a new school year! Did you know the library has resources to help your child with their homework? Check out Britannica School Edition to get information for projects and reports, or log on to and get live tutoring help if there’s a question that’s stumping you.  For kids as well as kids-at-heart, there are tons of great resources available through BadgerLink; you’ll find information to help with school work as well as tips on starting your own business or repairing your vehicle.
