The Columbus Public Library is currently hiring for a Library Page position.

The primary duty of this position is re-shelving materials alphabetically and using the Dewey Decimal System.

This position is for 2-3 days a week, with 5-9 hours a week. Specific hours are flexible but must be worked early to late afternoon. You must be able to lift 50 pounds. Rate of pay for this position is $7.50 per hour.

Columbus Fall Festival

Saturday, September 9 come join the city of Columbus as they celebrate the changing of the seasons at the Columbus Fall Festival on Saturday, September 9 from 9am to 2pm at the corner of Dickason Boulevard and James Street.

There will be lots to do including:

Friends of the Library Book Sale

The Grand Opening of the Library Annex and Open Studio Tours. Visit the new home base for a variety of community partners.

Giant board games, bubbles and balloons on the library lawn.

A market and craft fair outside the Columbus Senior Center

And Silent Auction

There will also be a brat fry and Soup and Pie Lunch as well as live music to enjoy. Come out and celebrate Fall and enjoy the fun festivities!

Volunteer Tutors Needed!

Looking for a way to volunteer and help others? Consider becoming a tutor with the Columbus Literacy Council!

There has been an increase in people seeking out help from the Columbus Literacy Council to improve their English skills, and more volunteers are needed to meet the demand.
