We will be closed all day Tuesday due to hazardous travel conditions. The Library Board and Friends of the Library meetings are canceled. The Mediation and Mindfulness class is also canceled this evening.
Looking for something to do after school? Well you are in luck! Each Thursdays of the month, the Columbus Public Library has a program for school aged children and their different interests.
Each Thursday after school program is from 3:30-4:30 pm in the library’s program room on the lower level of the library. A snack will be offered at each of the Thursday after school programs.
Check out what the library has to offer each month:
1st Thursday – Crafternoon – Ages 5 and up – Come craft with us! Each month there will be a different craft for the you to make at the library. Information about upcoming Crafternoon projects can be found on the library’s website and calendar.
2nd Thursday – LEGO Club – Ages 5 and up - Come play, build, and explore with LEGOs! We provide the LEGOs – you provide the creativity! Photos of each clubs LEGO creations will be displayed on the library’s Facebook page.
Winter can be dark and cold but what better way to pass the time then a reading great story?! Right now at the library every time you check out in the in the Children’s Area you can place a colorful snowflake on the program room doors. Our goal is to fill the program room doors completely with snowflakes!
So come on in, find some great books to snuggle up with, and help us create a blizzard in the library with the Winter Check-out Club!!
Looking for a way to volunteer and help other? Do you enjoy English? Than you could be a volunteer tutor for the Columbus Literacy Council!
There has been an increase in people seeking out help from the Columbus Literacy Council to improve their English skills and more volunteers are needed to meet the demand.
